L.A. Day 6 -does everything cost an arm and a leg here?-

so much for getting an early start today...
didn't wake up til about 12... *rolls her eyes* sheesh... got up and took a shower really quick and headed off to
hollywood to have lunch with jennie's dad. we went to his office and parked right below his building. it was valet
parking! score! and then we went up to the tenth floor to meet her daddy. while we were sitting in the waiting
room for him, the secretary picked up the phone, dialed and then said the following: "hello? yeah, do you have any
gum? i smell like doritos..." i had a hard time containing myself... i mean, here we are, in a very prestigous law
office, and the secretary is talking about gum? sheesh. anyways, her dad was on a conference call so we had to go
on ahead with out him. (we had reservations) so we walk down the street to barney's of new york. one of the most
expensive stores i have ever seen. (we picked up one hat to look at it... and it was 125 dollars! and it was
UGLY!!!) we got in the elevator and went to the top floor. that is were the restaurant is. it's called Barney
Greengrass. we got our table which was outside. it was really pretty. i mean, there we were on the top of this huge
building and we were eating. SCORE! it was cool. when her dad came we ordered food. ok, i know that i have said
that the food has been expensive before... but this was ridiculous... i was just glad that i didn't have to pay for
it. cause i couldn't have... i'm still down to like 2 dollars. but we had a leisurely lunch/breakfast and then
jennie and i took a walk down rodeo drive. so many of the shops i could just tell that i would never get to go
inside. they were that ritzy. we got back to the car and drove home. on the way home, we stopped by office depot
to check on jewel cases for jennie. and then again at the fruit truck where we bought cherries and black berries.
which were very good. i got online for a while and then i got hungry. so i fixed me some food. then we had to take
jennie's sister to gymnastics. we got there and dropped her off, and on the way home we got a call from her dad
saying that she needed to be picked up again. it was cancelled. so we turned around and got her. when we got back,
we watched friends with her sister. about that time, jennie's dad called from his way home and asked if we wanted
any ice cream. so of course we said yes! the shop was called gladstones and it was good! they scoop out the ice
cream and then mix what you want into it. for example, i got coffe ice cream and put a twix bar and caramel in it!
yum... and then we came home finally for the last time today. we drove her dad's lexus home... fancy... tomorrow
though, we are going to the beach!! yay! lots of sunscreen for me...
